Safe and efficient aircraft pushback is a critical part of ramp operations. Errors during pushback can lead to serious safety incidents, aircraft damage, and operational disruptions.

To support ground handling organisations in strengthening operational safety and standardisation, Airport College International is pleased to launch its new Aircraft Pushback eLearning course.

Comprehensive Aircraft Pushback Training

The Aircraft Pushback eLearning course provides participants with a comprehensive overview of aircraft pushback operations. It explains the purpose, procedures, roles, communication methods, and safety requirements associated with pushback activities on the ramp.

The course focuses on standardised pushback practices and highlights the importance of:

  • Clear and correct communication

  • Proper use of approved equipment

  • Strict adherence to safety procedures

Participants gain a clear understanding of their responsibilities during pushback operations and how they contribute to safe aircraft movement in a complex ramp environment.

The course content follows the guidelines of IATA’s Airport Handling Manual (AHM) RMP12 – Aircraft Pushback, ensuring full alignment with globally accepted ground handling best practices.
