The first half of 2026 has been a busy and exciting period for Airport College International. As the aviation industry continues to grow, we have focused on expanding our training portfolio, strengthening international partnerships, supporting regulatory compliance, and engaging with industry stakeholders around the world.

Expanding Our Training Portfolio

During the first half of 2026, we continued to expand our aviation training portfolio to support the evolving needs of airlines, ground handling companies, and air cargo operators.

eLearning Courses

A key achievement was the development of six new ground handling eLearning courses based on the IATA Airport Handling Manual (AHM) 1110 standards, as well as new Halal Operations and Food Safety eLearning courses for airline catering operations. These courses were designed to support training and assessment requirements while helping organisations maintain high levels of operational safety, compliance, and performance.

Integrated Aviation Training Concept (IATC)

Another important milestone was the launch of our Integrated Aviation Training Concept (IATC), combining digital eLearning, Virtual Reality (VR) training, and structured On-the-Job Training (OJT). The concept was developed to help organisations build workforce competence through a blended learning approach that connects theory, practice, and operational performance.

Supporting Regulatory Compliance

Regulatory compliance remains at the core of aviation training. During H1 2026, we updated our Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) training programmes to reflect the latest ICAO and IATA requirements, including changes related to lithium batteries and power banks. We also continued annual updates across our broader course portfolio to ensure our clients receive accurate and up-to-date training content.

Strengthening Global Partnerships

Partnership development was another key focus area. We announced new collaborations supporting the Integrated Aviation Training Concept, including partnerships with AVIAR for Virtual Reality training and Smart Aerospace Solutions for On-the-Job Training delivery. These partnerships strengthen our ability to provide comprehensive workforce development solutions that extend beyond traditional eLearning.

Engaging with the Global Aviation Community

Throughout the first half of the year, Airport College International actively participated in major aviation industry events.

Our team attended the ACA Leadership Symposium in Toulouse, the GHI Asia Conference in Singapore, the IATA Ground Handling Conference (IGHC) in Cairo, and the TIACA Global Executive Summit in Warsaw. These events provided valuable opportunities to exchange ideas with industry leaders and discuss key topics such as workforce development, digitalisation, safety culture, sustainability, and operational excellence.

In addition, we undertook a number of industry visits and meetings with aviation stakeholders, helping us better understand emerging training needs while strengthening our global network of industry partners and clients.

Looking Ahead

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our clients, team members, partners, and industry colleagues for their continued dedication, trust, and collaboration.

Their expertise, commitment, and support have been important in making the first half of 2026 a successful and productive period for Airport College International.

We look forward to building on this momentum and supporting the aviation industry's growth and transformation throughout the remainder of the year.

With best regards,

Pertti Mero, CEO Airport College International Ltd.
