Airport College International introduces a new Aircraft Familiarisation eLearning Course, designed to provide essential knowledge of aircraft structures, service ports, and safe ground handling practices.

What the Online Course Covers

The course introduces the fundamentals of different aircraft types and explains how their layouts impact ground handling operations. It provides clear guidance on identifying key access points, including passenger, service, and cargo doors.

Participants will also learn to recognise critical hazard zones, such as engine blast areas, and understand how to approach and service aircraft safely.

This practical knowledge ensures that ground support equipment can be positioned accurately and operations carried out efficiently during every turnaround.

Aligned with IATA Standards

The course is based on IATA Airport Handling Manual (AHM 904). This ensures the content reflects internationally recognised industry best practices and supports standardised training across ground handling operations.
