This week, Airport College International is participating in the IATA Training Group Meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, held at the IATA Headquarters near Geneva Airport.


The meeting brings together global aviation training experts to discuss the future of ground handling training, safety standards, and workforce development across the industry.


Airport College International wants to contribute industry expertise and operational experience to the development of future aviation training standards, helping ensure that training remains practical, relevant, and aligned with real operational needs.


IATA Ground Operations Training Subgroup

The IATA Ground Operations Training Subgroup operates under the Ground Operations Standards Working Group (GOS). The subgroup develops standardized training frameworks and programmes for airline and ground handling personnel, ensuring that operational training remains aligned with evolving safety requirements, operational best practices, and global industry standards.


IATA Cargo Training Working Group

The IATA Cargo Training Working Group is composed of airline, ground handling and freight forwarding experts responsible for developing global air cargo training standards. The group plays a key role in supporting international safety regulations and ensuring high-quality professional development within the air cargo industry.
