Ground handling addresses many service requirements of an aircraft between the time it arrives and the time it departs on its next flight. Speed, efficiency and accuracy are important in ground handling services in order to minimize the turnaround time. As airlines face increasing pressure to improve profitability, they are striving to carry the greatest number of passengers feasible while keeping their fleets in revenue service as much as possible. All this without compromising passenger convenience, jeopardizing safety and security and minimizing the environmental impact.
