Lavatory Servicing eLearning

The Lavatory Servicing eLearning Course provides foundational and operational knowledge required for safe, hygienic, and compliant aircraft lavatory servicing operations.

The course is based on IATA AHM 441, IGOM 3.5, and supporting industry guidance. It covers lavatory servicing safety and hygiene requirements, contamination and exposure risks, standard operating procedures, equipment and vehicle requirements, waste tank draining, flush water servicing, post-operation cleaning and disinfection, reporting practices, and quality assurance.

This course is designed for

  • Employees with assigned duties to perform potable water service.

 

Learning objectives


Upon completion of this course, a course participant will be able to:

  • Perform aircraft lavatory servicing tasks according to approved procedures, safety requirements, and hygiene standards.

  • Identify health, hygiene, and contamination risks associated with lavatory servicing and apply appropriate control measures.

  • Operate lavatory service vehicles and equipment safely and correctly, including pre-operation checks and post-operation cleaning.

  • Carry out waste tank draining and flush water servicing in a safe and controlled manner, preventing spills and cross-contamination.

  • Apply correct PPE usage, chemical handling, and environmental protection measures during all stages of the operation.

  • Know why reporting irregularities, spills, exposure incidents, and equipment defects is important, and follow required reporting practices.
