Aircraft Familiarisation eLearning course provides with essential knowledge about aircraft basic structure, aircraft categories, aircraft door identification, lower deck and cargo door locations, service point locations, and key safety zones and hazards around aircraft.
The course includes familiarisation examples covering Airbus, Boeing and other common aircraft types, together with typical service point locations and operational considerations. The course is based on IATA Airport Handling Manual (AHM 904).

This course is designed for
Employees with assigned duties to perform potable water service.
Learning objectives
Upon completion of this course, a course participant will be able to:
Identify the primary structural components of commercial aircraft.
Distinguish between narrow-body, wide-body, regional and freighter aircraft categories.
Recognise common Airbus, Boeing and other aircraft types.
Identify lower deck compartments, including forward, aft and bulk hold locations.
Recognise typical aircraft service points, including electrical, air conditioning, pneumatic, fuel, potable water and lavatory service locations.
Identify key aircraft safety zones and hazards, including engine intake and blast zones, APU exhaust hazards, landing gear hazards, moving control surfaces and door movement risks.
Apply general safe-working principles when approaching and working around aircraft on the ramp.
