The objective of this course is to provide theoretical background to operate and control aircraft de-/anti-icing procedures.

  • De-/anti-icing operators (DI-L20), ground handling supervisors and aircraft maintenance organisations

 

Learning objectives

Upon completion of this course, a course participant will be able to:

  • understand the regulations, guidelines standards for safe and efficient operations

  • learn the basics of aerodynamics that an operator must know

  • determine the need and methods used for de-icing/anti-icing operations
